Volunteer

Our volunteers are extremely valuable to The Dixie Theater. They help us provide a welcoming atmosphere and efficient service. Their hours also count as dollars towards matching the state grant for the eventual theater renovation. Volunteering is fun! You get to see many of your friends, meet new people, read a book or do a crossword during the quiet times, and you get free popcorn and a drink! Volunteers also earn a free movie pass for themselves for every shift worked.

The Dixie needs volunteers in the box office and the concession stand. They work shifts lasting from ¾ of an hour to 3 and ¼ hours. Some volunteers take a shift every week, others once a month, e.g. the second Thursday. Others sign up mid-week for a weekend shift in response to an email. Afternoon shifts are open.
